The group develops mathematically grounded and computationally efficient approaches for multiscale biological systems, with research spanning multiscale modeling of blood flow and red blood cell mechanics, physics-informed neural networks, operator learning, data-driven modeling, cell dynamics, predictive modeling in blood-related diseases, integration of microfluidic experimental data with computational models, and high-performance computing/GPU computing for biomedical applications.
Applicants should have a background in applied mathematics, computational science, statistics, mechanics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or related fields. Preferred preparation includes strong mathematical and programming skills, experience with numerical methods, machine learning or deep learning, and familiarity with tools such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, LAMMPS, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are also expected.
