Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is advertising a postdoctoral researcher position in the Department of Chemistry / Berlin Battery Lab (BBL) on high-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries . The project is part of a third-party funded research effort with the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) and focuses on cell design , construction and characterization of electrochemical cells , and cycling infrastructure for high-temperature batteries. The role is well suited to candidates with a background in chemistry , materials science , chemical engineering , or a closely related field. The post emphasizes hands-on battery research, solid electrolyte-based systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and scientific writing/publication experience. Strong English skills are required, and German is considered a plus. This is a full-time position at E 13 TV-L HU , funded through the project and limited until 30 April 2029 .
