1-2 Postdoctoral Researchers in Information Systems Science
The University of Jyväskylä’s Faculty of Information Technology invites applications for 1-2 Postdoctoral Researcher positions in Information Systems Science, starting from August 1, 2026 or as agreed. The contract can last up to four years, with a maximum of two years for second-term contracts. The faculty is a multidisciplinary hub, comprising 18 research groups and five laboratories, focusing on four main areas: educational technology and cognitive science, computational science, software engineering, and information systems science.
Research in Information Systems Science at Jyväskylä emphasizes the design and development of innovative digital services and data-driven value creation. The faculty investigates how digital technologies, services, and data can generate value for organizations, users, and society, contributing to the Finnish Hub for Digitalization (FHDi). As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will engage in research within your area of expertise, contribute to high-level publishing, participate in teaching and thesis supervision, and support research projects and funding acquisition. Your work is expected to strengthen the academic profile and productivity of the faculty’s research groups.
Applicants must have completed a PhD before the start date. The position requires strong research and publishing skills, teaching experience, and the ability to contribute to collaborative projects. The University of Jyväskylä stipulates qualification and language requirements for postdoctoral researchers. A six-month trial period applies at the start of employment.
