Fully Funded PhD in Condition Monitoring for Additive Manufacturing at University of Guelph

Hussien Hegab, Assistant Professor & P.Eng at the University of Guelph , is recruiting a fully funded PhD student in condition monitoring in additive manufacturing . The project focuses on developing advanced sensing , data-driven , and intelligent monitoring techniques to improve the reliability, quality, and performance of additive manufacturing processes. The work sits at the intersection of experimental methods , signal processing , and data analytics , with opportunities to collaborate with industry partners and the NRC Manufacturing Centre. Eligible applicants should have both MASc and BSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering , or a closely related field, with a minimum GPA of A- or equivalent . Strong preparation in manufacturing processes, instrumentation, or data analysis is required, and experience in additive manufacturing, condition monitoring, machine learning, or related areas is highly desirable. English proficiency and strong problem-solving skills are also expected. The position includes full financial support (tuition and stipend).
