Postdoc in T cell metabolism and immunotherapies

Amsterdam UMC and Sanquin Research are recruiting a Postdoc in T cell metabolism and immunotherapies to join the Foskolou Lab in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The project focuses on tumour immunology , T-cell metabolism , epitranscriptomic regulation , and RNA biology , with the goal of improving next-generation CAR-T cell and other T-cell-based immunotherapies for solid tumours. The successful candidate will investigate how mRNA methylation regulates T-cell metabolic adaptation and how this can be leveraged to engineer better anti-tumour immune responses. The role combines experimental and computational work, including analysis of multi-omics datasets (transcriptomics, metabolomics/lipidomics, proteomics), wet-lab cellular and molecular biology, in vivo mouse experiments, and scientific writing. The postdoc will work closely with PhD candidates and other researchers in a collaborative, international environment. Eligibility highlights: a PhD in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related field; strong knowledge of T-cell biology; experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry, metabolic profiling, and multi-omics analysis; excellent English communication skills. Experience with viral transductions, CAR-T engineering, and tumour models is preferred. Funding and terms: the position is funded by an NWO Vidi grant . It is a 12-month employment contract with a gross monthly salary of €4,818–€6,594 (full-time), plus an 8.3% end-of-year bonus and additional employment benefits. Application: applications are reviewed continuously and the vacancy may close early once filled. The official vacancy page provides the application portal and contact details for both the scientific lead and recruitment advisor.
