Postdoc in Ethics of Technology: Methods for the Ethics of Socially Disruptive Technologies (Philosophy)
Postdoc in Ethics of Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e)
This is a 3-year postdoctoral opening in philosophy/ethics for a project on
Methods for the Ethics of Socially Disruptive Technologies
within the ESDiT research programme. The postdoc will work on the methodological foundations of ethics of technology: building a conceptual framework for existing methods, developing criteria for when methods succeed or fail under conditions of disruption, and designing new or revised methods for ethical assessment of socially disruptive technologies.
The project is based at
TU/e
in the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences, within the Philosophy & Ethics group, and is part of a wider Dutch inter-university consortium. The role is research-focused and also includes active participation in the research line, including collaboration, events, and joint writing.

Eligibility highlights:
applicants should have a
PhD in philosophy
, strong academic research outputs, the ability to work independently and in teams, and excellent English communication skills. Backgrounds in ethics, metaethics, and philosophy of technology are especially relevant.
Funding and conditions:
full-time employment for 3 years, with salary in Dutch university scale 10 (€4,241–€5,538 per month), plus year-end bonus, vacation pay, and standard TU/e employment benefits.
