to research, data management, and data visualization.
The project supports research on the U.S. biobased economy, including
bioenergy
,
biochemicals
,
bioplastics
,
biobased consumer products
,
sustainable aviation fuels
, and
biobased building materials
. The researcher will help expand an interactive biobased feedstocks and products database and website, contribute to technical reports and research articles, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and may take part in limited teaching by mutual agreement.
Eligibility highlights include a
PhD or equivalent
in environmental sciences, environmental policy, environmental engineering, bio-agricultural sciences/engineering, chemical engineering, supply chain management, or computer sciences. Strong English communication skills are required, along with experience in data management and data visualization. Preferred candidates will understand biobased supply chains, AI tools such as Claude and Notebook LP, and environmental life cycle assessment and greenhouse gas accounting (scopes 1, 2, and 3).
The position is
full-time
and based on campus in Syracuse, New York. The salary range is
$62,400–$66,900
