The role is suited to an emerging or established academic with a completed PhD in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or Finance, plus a postgraduate qualification in Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related quantitative discipline. Applicants should have evidence of effective tertiary teaching, a developing or established research profile, strong communication skills, and an interest in supervision and academic citizenship. A strong publication record or potential to publish in leading finance/economics journals is desirable.
The appointment is full-time and permanent. The salary scale is listed as Lecturer NZD 94,181–113,616 and Senior Lecturer NZD 119,586–135,630, with additional benefits including relocation support, annual leave, sabbatical provision, superannuation contribution, professional development, and access to UC facilities.
