Postdoc opportunity in Rheumatology/Immunology at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) This postdoc position is part of a translational immunology project focused on autoreactive B cells in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) . The work sits at the interface of fundamental and clinical research and is embedded in the Laboratory for Experimental Rheumatology at LUMC, a recognised EULAR Centre of Excellence. The project aims to characterise autoreactive B cells in lymphoid tissues and organoids, using advanced methods such as spectral flow cytometry , RNA sequencing , B cell repertoire analysis , and functional assays. The research is closely connected to a unique study involving CD19 CAR T cell therapy for autoimmune diseases in the Netherlands, offering a strong translational and patient-relevant dimension. You will join a dynamic research environment with around 35 postdocs, PhD candidates, and analysts, and work closely with the SLE research team under the supervision of Dr. Jolien Suurmond , immunologist and assistant professor at LUMC. Collaboration with departments within LUMC and Amsterdam UMC is part of the project. Eligibility highlights: completed PhD in immunology, demonstrated interest in autoimmunity, experience with immunological techniques such as cell culture and flow cytometry, and familiarity with advanced data analysis including single-cell RNA sequencing and B cell repertoire analysis. Strong English communication and collaborative skills are expected. Funding and contract: this is a paid postdoc employment position. Salary ranges from €3,598 to €5,669 gross per month (full-time, scale 10 CAO UMC). The appointment is for two years with the possibility of a two-year extension .
