Principal Investigator / Group Leader positions in Microbiome and Precision Medicine

Looking for 4 Principal Investigator / Group Leader positions at the newly established Kaunas-Kiel Microbiome & Precision Medicine Center , an international joint initiative involving the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences , Kauno klinikos , and European partners at Kiel University in Germany. The center focuses on microbiome , precision medicine , host-microbiome interactions , systems medicine , multi-omics , bioinformatics , AI/machine learning , and translational research for human health and disease. Research directions include microbiome-driven mechanisms in inflammatory, metabolic, oncological, and infectious diseases, experimental model systems, and translation into clinically actionable biomarkers and therapies. This is a PI / Group Leader opportunity for researchers at R3/R4 level, especially early postdocs with strong potential or more established independent researchers. The post offers a full-time appointment, an initial 3-year contract extendable by up to 2 more years, a salary of up to EUR 72,000 (R3) or EUR 100,000 (R4) gross per year, and a start-up package of up to EUR 1 million for personnel, operations, services, and equipment. Applicants should hold a PhD in life sciences, biomedicine, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a closely related field, with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience or equivalent independence. Strong publication record, competitive funding potential, innovative research vision, and interdisciplinary collaboration experience are emphasized.
