Civic Science Postdoctoral Fellow in Science Policy and Program Evaluation

Civic Science Postdoctoral Fellow in Science Policy Collaborative at George Mason University (co-hosted with the University of California, Riverside). This grant-funded postdoctoral opening supports the Science Policy Collaborative , a national network focused on strengthening the development, sustainability, and evaluation of U.S. science policy programs. The fellow will work on science policy , program evaluation , needs assessment , network coordination , knowledge exchange , and evidence-informed policymaking . Core responsibilities include assessing the needs of U.S. science policy programs, publishing findings, supporting working groups, building partnerships, developing tools such as logic models and evaluation frameworks, and connecting programs with national and international experts on use of research evidence (URE). The role is based in Fairfax, Virginia and is hybrid eligible . It is a full-time, 18-month postdoctoral appointment with an estimated salary of about $80,000/year plus benefits . Eligibility highlights: doctoral/terminal degree in a related field; experience in network coordination, program development/management, or community engagement; experience with needs-assessment or evaluation methods; strong writing skills for broad audiences; and familiarity with science-for-policy practice or evidence-informed policymaking.
