EU MSCA-PhD Opportunity in Disruptive Synthetic Technologies: Electrifying Organic Synthesis at the University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich is offering a fully funded PhD position in the Lam Research Group, focused on developing disruptive synthetic technologies for electrifying organic synthesis. This project, supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), aims to create a new electrochemical arylation platform utilizing unprecedented transformations and novel electrode materials. By harnessing electricity as a clean reagent, the research seeks to advance sustainable methodologies for synthesizing high-value organic molecules, including pharmaceuticals and functional materials. As a PhD candidate, you will join an internationally recognized research group at the Medway Campus in Kent, working within a diverse and dynamic team. Funding includes a salary of £60,200 (gross) for three years, a relocation allowance of approximately 6000 EUR, and a family allowance of 495 EUR/month if eligible.
