Broadcast & Digital Media Specialist
in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism Department.
This is a staff role supporting faculty, students, and instructional media environments across broadcast journalism, digital journalism, newsroom technology, media production, and live reporting workflows. The specialist will provide end-to-end technical support for newsroom computer systems, graphics tools, studio and post-production workflows, instructional lab operations, and hands-on support for courses and student productions.
The position includes oversight of student employees, training and documentation, troubleshooting across Windows and macOS, support for local/networked storage and classroom technology, and coordination of service and maintenance to keep labs and production spaces operational. The role also involves working with broadcast production automation, camera robotics, video switchers, digital audio consoles, ENPS, iNews, XPression graphics, Adobe Premiere, Audacity, and related tools.
