Postdoctoral Position in Biochemistry and Enzymology – Tubulin Code Lab, Protein Purification, Montpellier
A two-year postdoctoral position is available in the "Tubulin Code" lab at the Institut de Génétique Humaine (IGH), CNRS, Université de Montpellier, France. The position is funded by FRM and focuses on biochemistry, protein purification, and enzymology, with a particular emphasis on characterizing new microtubule-modifying enzymes. The lab is part of a leading research institute with state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will join a team investigating post-translational modifications of microtubules and their physiological roles using advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques. Key responsibilities include protein expression and purification, enzymatic assays, HPLC and FPCL chromatography, and cell culture (mammalian and insect cells). Additional experience in cell biology, cytoskeleton, and molecular biology methods (western blots, qPCR, cloning, mutagenesis) is highly valued.
Applicants must hold a PhD in biochemistry or a related field, with 1–4 years of postdoctoral experience preferred. Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and proficiency in English (minimum B1 level) are required. The position offers a gross monthly salary starting from €3071, with adjustments based on experience, and is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 24 months.
The IGH is located in Montpellier, offering an excellent quality of life and access to cutting-edge research infrastructure. The application deadline is February 11, 2026. Interested candidates should apply via the CNRS job portal or contact the supervisors, Krzysztof Rogowski and François Juge, for further information.
