Assam Skill University is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2026-27 across multiple departments, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary and emerging research areas. The Department of IT alone lists 22 research vacancies in topics such as AI & ML, Speech Technology, Agricultural NLP, Agri-Informatics, Health Informatics, NLP, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, Bioinformatics, Cyber Security, Wireless Communication, Mobile Ad hoc Networks, Wireless Networks, and AI in Education . Eligibility: Applicants should meet UGC-based PhD regulations. This includes a relevant master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent, or equivalent qualifications as specified in the notice. Candidates with M.Phil. and 55% marks are also eligible. Relaxation may apply for reserved and differently-abled categories. Admission can be through UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE/CEED or through the university’s entrance test and interview. Selection process: The entrance test is 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific. Shortlisted candidates may be called for interview based on available seats. Working professionals must submit an employer NOC at admission. Fees: This is not presented as a funded studentship.
