The BBRL offers state-of-the-art experimental infrastructure for algal and microbial biotechnology, translational research with pilot-scale process development exposure, strong support for high-impact publications, and mentorship towards independent research careers and academic leadership. Eligibility requirements include Indian citizenship, a PhD/M.D/M.S degree or thesis submission, at least two published papers, and an age limit of 35 years (with relaxations for certain categories). The fellowship cannot be held at the institution where the candidate earned their PhD, nor with their PhD supervisor. The mentor must be a regular academic/research staff member with a PhD in Science or Engineering.
