Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Community Living, Participation, and Serious Mental Illness at Temple University

Temple University’s Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Community Living and Participation is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a nationally recognized research team focused on community living , community participation , and outcomes for individuals with serious mental illnesses . The center’s work spans topics such as employment, education, leisure and recreation, parenting, intimate relationships, social isolation, and the factors that shape participation in community life. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with the Center Director, Dr. Mark Salzer , and affiliated faculty to strengthen research skills while contributing to ongoing center activities. This opportunity is especially relevant for candidates with training in psychology , public health , sociology , social work , rehabilitation counseling , psychiatric rehabilitation , disability studies , or related fields. The role emphasizes adult mental health research, experience with adults with serious mental illnesses, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations and research software.
