Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Psychology / Cognitive Neuroscience (MEMOPATHS)

Postdoctoral position in Cognitive Psychology / Cognitive Neuroscience at Aix-Marseille Université in Marseille, France. The position is part of the A*Midex-funded MEMOPATHS project , led by Marlène Abadie at the Centre de Recherche en Psychologie et Neurosciences (CRPN), Aix-Marseille University / CNRS. The project investigates how false memories arise during the early stages of memory formation in childhood . The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a new experimental paradigm and will combine behavioral measures , reaction time , and electrophysiological methods including EEG and EMG . Data collection will involve both children (around 4–5 years old) and young adults . Main tasks include experimental design, preregistration, ethics applications, programming experiments in Python using PsychoPy or OpenSesame , data collection, data analysis, modelling, scientific writing, and supervision of students. Eligibility highlights: a PhD in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or Neuroscience ; experience with electrophysiology tools such as MNE-Python , EEGLAB , or Brainstorm ; experience testing children is a plus; spoken French and written English are required. Location: Marseille, France . Start date: October 2026 . Duration: 24 months . Deadline: 15 June 2025 .
