The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time tenure or clinical track faculty position in Nutrition at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position is housed within the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences and focuses on clinical, didactic, and laboratory teaching of nutrition to preclinical students, interns, and residents, as well as participation in nutrition consultations at local and national levels. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical or basic science research programs and departmental missions. Requirements include a DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree, completion of a formal residency training program in small or comparative animal nutrition, and certification or eligibility for certification in nutrition by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) or European College of Veterinary Nutrition (ECVN). The department includes board-certified specialists in various fields and offers both remote and on-site nutrition consultations. The clinical nutrition service provides guidance for cats and dogs, and the UT Veterinary Obesity Center offers weight loss guidance.
