Fully Funded PhD Positions in Robotics, AI, and Tactile Perception at RoboTac Lab

Two fully funded PhD positions are open in Robotics & AI at the RoboTac Lab , a highly collaborative research lab working at the intersection of artificial intelligence , robotics , tactile intelligence , machine learning , and control . The positions are part of a collaboration between the BMW Center of AI (Munich) and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) . The advertised research themes focus on embodied multimodal perception and learning for soft object manipulation , cross-modal visuo-tactile representation for dexterous grasping , and tactile-radar robotic perception for robust manipulation in clutter . These topics are especially relevant for students interested in robotic perception , human-robot interaction , soft robotics , and AI-enabled manipulation . Eligibility: applicants should hold an MSc in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science , Systems & Control , or a related field. Strong programming/software skills in ROS , C/C++ , and Python are expected, together with teamwork, independent working ability, and good English proficiency. Funding: the positions are fully funded and include a competitive salary, access to cutting-edge robotics hardware, international collaboration, and conference participation. Deadline: 15 April 2026. Potential start date: June 2026. How to apply: prepare all documents in a single PDF and email them to [email protected] .
