Postdoctoral Researcher and Junior Researcher in Cancer Signaling Dynamics, Single-Cell Imaging, and Computational Biology

University of Turin / Cancer Signaling Dynamics Lab is recruiting for a new research group focused on how KRAS mutations reshape MAPK signaling dynamics at the single-cell level and how these altered dynamics can be targeted with drug combinations. The lab combines cell engineering , live-cell microscopy , advanced image analysis , and single-cell data analysis . The postdoctoral project is especially suited to candidates with a hybrid wet-lab/computational background, or strong expertise in one area plus motivation to develop the other. The junior researcher/pre-doctoral role is aimed at candidates within 6 years of a Master's degree and welcomes applicants with experimental skills and interest in quantitative/computational biology. Open positions: 1 Postdoctoral researcher and 1 Junior researcher (within 6 years from Master's degree). Research themes: cancer signaling dynamics, KRAS-mutated cancers, MAPK/ERK signaling, fluorescent biosensors, live-cell imaging, cell culture, organoids, image/data analysis, and computational modeling/ML approaches. Eligibility highlights: Postdoc applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field such as molecular biology, cancer biology, bioengineering, bioinformatics, or computational biology. The junior role requires a Master's degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, veterinary sciences, or a related field; a PhD is welcome but not required. Experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology is important, and skills in microscopy, CRISPR/Cas9, lentiviral transduction, organoid culture, and coding tools such as Python or R are advantageous. Funding and contract: These are paid research contracts. The postdoc starts with a 2-year contract (3-month probation) and may extend for 2 more years. The junior researcher role starts with a 1-year contract and may extend up to 3 years. The post mentions support for conference travel, research visits, and external fellowship applications. Application window: The postdoctoral role is open until filled, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. The junior researcher role is also open until filled. The post asks candidates to email a brief statement of motivation/background and a CV to Paolo Gagliardi. Location: Department of Oncology, University of Turin; lab hosted by the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine at Candiolo Cancer Institute, Italy.
