Assistant/Associate Professor in Computational Medicinal Chemistry at University of Nebraska Medical Center

University of Nebraska Medical Center is recruiting a tenure-leading faculty member in computational medicinal chemistry for the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy. The appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications) and is a full-time, twelve-month position in Omaha, Nebraska, USA . The successful candidate will develop and apply computational approaches to advance the drug discovery process, including the design and optimization of bioactive molecules and chemical probes . The post is especially relevant to researchers working at the interface of medicinal chemistry , chemical biology , and computational chemistry , with interests in AI for de novo molecular design , machine learning , molecular modeling and simulation , deep learning , network pharmacology , quantum computing , and hybrid in silico/in vitro pipelines. Applicants should have a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a closely related field, plus postdoctoral training or equivalent. The department is looking for candidates with demonstrated productivity, a strong publication record, evidence of securing external funding, and the potential to build a nationally recognized, externally funded research program. Teaching and mentoring responsibilities include undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses, as well as supervision of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees.
