Postdoctoral Fellowships in Data Infrastructure for Science, Technology and Innovation Dynamics

MultiObs at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) is recruiting two postdoctoral fellows in data infrastructure for its Multi-observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation Dynamics project. The positions are part of the Data Infrastructure workplan and are funded by FAPESP’s SPEC program . The fellows will contribute to the research and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports the project’s science, technology and innovation (STI) monitoring activities. The work includes assessing the diversity and availability of STI data sources, researching data integration and curation, improving accessibility, building access through SQL and interactive interfaces, documenting infrastructural developments, and delivering training. The project emphasizes open data, advanced computational methods, and the democratization and federation of research infrastructures. Research areas / keywords: data infrastructure, scientometrics, data analytics, cloud computing, programming, open data, visualization tools, AI applications for data science, disambiguation algorithms, quantitative studies. Eligibility: candidates should hold a PhD in computer science, engineering, statistics applied to social studies, econometrics, or a related field, and have a strong technical background. Experience in scientometrics, data analytics, cloud computing, programming, quantitative studies, open data, visualization tools, AI applications for data science, and disambiguation algorithms is highly desirable. The PhD must have been defended within the last seven years. The working language is English. Supervision: Dr. Rodrigo Costas Comesaña and Dr. Alysson Mazoni (PD3); Dr. Sergio Salles-Filho and Dr. Adriana Bin (PD4). Duration and location: two-year positions based in the State of Sao Paulo, with a possible one-year extension. Deadline: 20 June 2026.
