Postdoctoral Fellowship in Diversity, Inclusion, and Funding Dynamics at MultiObs (UNICAMP)

MultiObs (Multi-Observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation Dynamics) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for a project on diversity, inclusion, and funding dynamics . The position is part of MultiObs, funded by FAPESP's SPEC program , and is led by Rodrigo Costas Comesaña . The research focuses on how research funders can promote a more inclusive scientific workforce and greater epistemic diversity, and how science, technology and innovation (STI) systems respond to global and local challenges such as climate change, COVID-19, the Zika virus, and agrifood needs. The project brings together themes in sociology of science , science policy , research on research , science and technology studies (STS) , funding data analytics , and inequality in the STI ecosystem, including gender, academic, and epistemic dimensions, with particular attention to the Global South. Eligibility: applicants should have a PhD in sociology of science, science policy, research on research, or a related social science field, plus a good technical background. Experience in science policy analysis or STS from a diversity and inclusion perspective is highly valued, as is experience with funding data analytics. The PhD must have been defended within the last seven years. The working language is English. Appointment: two years, based in the State of São Paulo, with a possible one-year extension.
