Practical Training and Project Work for Science and Engineering Undergraduates and Postgraduates at BARC
The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai, India, offers practical training and project work opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in science and engineering disciplines. Each college may forward applications for up to three eligible students per degree/subject. The minimum duration for practical training or project work varies by discipline, ranging from 45 days to 6 months, and is designed to be part of the academic curriculum. The application process requires students to submit a hard copy application on their college letterhead, signed and stamped by the college authority, along with a personal resume and relevant marksheets. Additional documentation is required for Computer Science and Biosciences applicants, including all marksheets from X standard onwards.
Applications must be sent to the Officer-in-Charge, Practical Training/Project work, HRDD, BARC, BARC Training School, Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai 400094, not earlier than three months and not later than fifteen days before the desired start date. The selection process involves screening by BARC's HRDD and approval by the Competent Authority. Accepted students will receive an official acceptance letter and further instructions for I-Card processing.
