. Dr.
Samendra Sherchan
is recruiting one postdoc for a research program that combines environmental biotechnology, microscopy, AI/machine learning, and omics to advance environmental and health research.
The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with Dr. Sherchan and collaborators, contribute to ongoing projects at the
Center for Climate Change and Health
and the
Center of Research Excellence in Wastewater-based Epidemiology
, and spend time at field sites and partner institutions. The role is research-intensive and includes opportunities to participate in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, preparing proposals, and writing journal publications.
Eligibility:
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in environmental sciences, environmental health engineering, data science, computer science, computational biology, microbiology, or a related field. The post emphasizes independence, organization, teamwork, a strong publication record, and strong communication skills, including conference presentations and peer-reviewed writing.
