Fully Funded Master and PhD Opportunities in Digital Building Performance, Construction, and Computer Science

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is offering a fully funded Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) position for Master and PhD candidates under the ADiLE (Advanced Digital Building Performance and Cost Assessment Network) System. The research project focuses on integrating cost intelligence, asset tagging, and lifecycle data systems within Malaysia’s built environment, with a strong emphasis on digital building performance analytics and cost intelligence in digital environments. The successful candidate will be involved in system development for the ADiLE platform, including backend and database architecture implementation, API integration, system optimisation, and supporting research outputs and technical documentation. This opportunity is ideal for those interested in engineering systems at the intersection of construction, data, and policy, and offers exposure to industry stakeholders. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering, with strong programming skills in .NET/C# and database management (PostgreSQL preferred). Familiarity with system architecture (API gateway, WebSocket, event-driven systems), cloud/containerisation (Docker is an advantage), a minimum CGPA of 3.00, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and good command of English are required. The position is open to Malaysian and international applicants, with priority for India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Funding includes tuition fee support (subject to university regulations), a monthly allowance, opportunities for conference participation, and exposure to industry collaboration. The application deadline is April 2026, and the start date is flexible. To apply, submit your CV and academic transcripts to Associate Professor Dr. Sarajul Fikri Mohamed at [email protected]. Key academic keywords: Digital Building Performance, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Asset Tagging, Lifecycle Data, Cost Intelligence, System Architecture, API Integration.
