Educator (x2) in Union Education and Anti-Racism/Cultural Responsiveness

The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) is recruiting 2 x Educators for its union education team, including one general Educator role and one Educator (Anti-Racism and Cultural Responsiveness) . These are full-time, ongoing Level 5 positions based in Melbourne or Sydney . The roles focus on union education , organising , campaigning , industrial strategy , workplace rights , delegate development , and adult learning. The anti-racism role also centres racism and racialisation in Australian workplaces and institutions, and works with the First Nations Workers Alliance to deliver culturally appropriate education. Applicants should have experience in union education or a closely related specialist field, with the ability to design, facilitate, deliver, and evaluate learning programs. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are required, along with a commitment to inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive learning environments. For the anti-racism role, lived experience or close sustained connection to communities experiencing racism and racialisation is specifically highlighted. The ACTU encourages applications from people from racialised backgrounds , including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The salary range is AUD 118,347 to AUD 138,257 , plus 15% superannuation , annual leave loading, working from home opportunities, and a rostered day off arrangement.
