Postdoctoral Position in Agricultural Biomass Planning, Spatial Data Integration, and Optimization Modeling at INRAE
A postdoctoral position will soon be available at INRAE / BioEcoAgro in France, supervised by Tenure-Track Professor Shule Wang. The research focuses on agricultural biomass planning, spatial data integration, and the development of computational decision-support platforms. The position is highly targeted towards candidates with expertise in programming (especially Python), spatial data processing, and optimization-based modeling for territorial planning, resource allocation, or supply chains. Experience with MILP, MINLP, or related optimization methods is preferred. Additional experience in biomass conversion, agricultural modeling, and life cycle assessment (LCA) or techno-economic analysis (TEA) is considered a plus.
The initial appointment is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension, and is expected to start in November 2026 or earlier. The position is based at INRAE, a leading French research institution in agriculture and environmental sciences. Candidates interested in computational modeling, sustainable agriculture, and resource optimization are encouraged to apply.
To apply, suitable candidates should contact Professor Shule Wang by email with a CV. The official application link will be provided as soon as it becomes available. For more information about the supervisor, visit the provided LinkedIn profile.
