Snowdon Trust Master’s Scholarship for Disabled Students in the UK
The Snowdon Trust Master’s Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for disabled individuals who have experienced disabling barriers and wish to pursue a master’s degree at a UK university. This scholarship aims to accelerate exceptional disabled students into leadership roles across all sectors, including business, government, policy, and community leadership. The program is designed to support those who intend to use their lived experience to challenge inequality, shift narratives, and lead progress in their chosen field or community.
Valued at up to £30,000, the scholarship provides comprehensive financial support throughout the duration of a master’s degree. Successful applicants can receive up to £15,000 toward university tuition fees, paid directly to the host university, and an additional £15,000 in living support, paid in termly instalments to help cover accommodation and day-to-day expenses. In 2026, targeted DFN Snowdon Master’s Scholarships will also be available for individuals pursuing careers in business leadership, government, or policy, with a focus on closing the Disability Employment Gap.
Scholars are invited to join the Disabled Leaders Network, a peer-led community offering collaboration, skills development, and a supportive environment to share experiences and amplify voices. Additionally, scholars are expected to participate in a week-long summer leadership school hosted by the University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education centre.
Eligibility is open to disabled individuals who plan to pursue a master’s degree in the UK and aspire to become leaders, pioneers, or role models in their profession, community, or public life. There are no restrictions on academic field, making this scholarship accessible to a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to sociology, business, and political science. Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to challenging inequality.
