Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Education, Climate Resilience and Development Economics at the University of Oxford

The Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE) at the University of Oxford is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join a research team led by Stefan Dercon , Rocco Zizzamia , and Noam Angrist . The fellowship focuses on education , climate resilience , and development economics . The successful candidate will contribute to an active portfolio of research on the resilience of education systems to climatic shocks and the returns to education in developing countries. The work combines rigorous quantitative methods, including field experiments , quasi-experimental designs , and analysis of large-scale administrative , survey , and geospatial data . The role includes leading study design, data analysis, and writing research papers on ongoing projects, as well as helping to develop a new research agenda with the principal investigators. The fellow is expected to build an independent research profile while working closely with the PIs, doctoral students, and other research staff. This is a postdoctoral opening, not a PhD or master's call. Applications must be submitted online via Econjobmarket (EJM) . The closing date is 7 June 2026 at midnight UTC, and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed online during the week commencing 22 June 2026 . The post is based at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom . No specific funding amount, stipend, or tuition information is stated in the post excerpt.
