The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) is seeking outstanding candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the Nottingham University Business School China. Led by Professor Sunghan Ryu, this opportunity focuses on investigating how trust and authenticity shape participation and outcomes on digital platforms, including crowdfunding, hospitality marketplaces, gaming, and livestreaming ecosystems. The research will explore platform design, community norms, and cross-cultural differences in trust formation and authenticity judgments, with applications across entrepreneurial fundraising, hospitality exchange, digital goods, consumer-to-consumer marketplaces, and live-streamed content.
The successful candidate will join a globally active research team with expertise in digital innovation, media and entertainment, and entrepreneurial technology. The postdoctoral research station in Business Administration at UNNC is the university's first, aligning with national strategic needs for talent cultivation and innovation. Applicants must have obtained a PhD within the last 3 years in business or management areas such as information systems, marketing, operations management, entrepreneurship, or management, and be under 35 years old. Strong analytical skills, experience in the research topic, and a passion for publishing in top academic journals are essential. Excellent English communication skills are required, and Chinese language skills are a plus. The position offers a 2-year fixed-term contract with an annual salary of RMB 269,906 to RMB 379,782 and eligibility for RMB 50,000 in research funding.
