Assistant/Associate Professor (Lecturer) in Sport Science and Human Performance

University of Utah, Department of Health & Kinesiology, is recruiting a Career-Line (non-tenure-track) faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor (Lecturer) level in Sport Science and Human Performance . This is a 0.75 FTE , long-term, renewable faculty appointment with the potential for multi-year contracts. The role is centered on teaching , program development , and community/industry engagement in a growing area of sport and performance science . Research/teaching areas and keywords: biomechanics, wearable devices, motor control, exercise physiology, movement sciences, kinesiology, applied sport science, human performance, curriculum development, experiential learning, and partnerships with athletics and sport organizations. What the position involves: teaching courses in sport science and human performance; contributing to emerging undergraduate and graduate programs; helping develop curriculum and experiential learning opportunities; and collaborating with partners such as Utah Athletics, professional sport organizations, Olympic governing bodies, and industry collaborators. Eligibility highlights: a master’s degree is required; a Ph.D. is preferred in Kinesiology or a related discipline. The department seeks candidates with strong teaching potential, evidence of program-development ability, community engagement experience, and applied experience in sport/performance settings (high school, collegiate, club, semi-professional, or Olympic levels preferred).
