Postdoctoral Researcher in Empirical Microeconomics / Empirical Economics

Masaryk University (Faculty of Economics and Administration, Department of Economics) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in Empirical Microeconomics . This is a full-time postdoc opportunity in empirical economics with a strong focus on labor economics , health economics , human capital , social capital , migration , and refugee integration . The position is based in Brno, Czech Republic, within ECON MUNI’s research environment. The department highlights active research in empirical microeconomics and related areas such as labor economics, urban economics, behavioral economics, and political economy. The postdoc will contribute to peer-reviewed research, present at international conferences, help prepare and implement national and international grant proposals, and participate in ongoing and upcoming research projects. Teaching in English-taught programmes is possible but not expected. Eligibility: applicants should hold a PhD in economics or a related field, have an international research network, experience in empirical economics, a strong job market paper or publication record, excellent empirical methods skills, and be self-driven. No Czech language knowledge is required. Funding: the contract is fixed-term for 24 months, with a gross monthly salary of 2,400 EUR . The university also offers relocation support, help from the MUNI Welcome Office, flexible working hours, occasional home office, and employee benefits.
