Professor in Industrial Chemistry
in the Department of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering. The core research theme is
Chemical Reaction Engineering
, with emphasis on translating reaction chemistry into reactor and process solutions for industrial production.
The position can be filled at
assistant professor, associate professor, or full professor
level depending on the candidate. The appointment is part of Aalto’s tenure-track system and may be fixed-term or permanent depending on the level. The university is located in Espoo in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Finland.
Research and teaching expectations include kinetics of catalytic and non-catalytic reactions, thermodynamics, reactor design, scale-up, experimental work, and modeling. The successful candidate will teach and develop education at bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, attract competitive funding, and recruit and lead researchers.
Applicants should hold a
doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
