Postdoctoral Researcher in Liver Transplantation, Immunology, and Mitochondrial Biotherapy

IHU EVEREST Lyon / Institut d’Hépatologie de Lyon is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for a highly translational project at the interface of liver transplantation , immunology , and inflammasome biology. The position is embedded in the Department of Digestive Surgery and Liver Transplantation and the UMR INSERM U1350 PaThLiv, with close interaction with clinical teams and access to advanced research infrastructure. The selected postdoc will lead an independent project on mitochondrial biotherapy , specifically exploring the therapeutic potential of exogenous mitochondria injection to limit ischemia-reperfusion injury during liver transplantation. This opportunity is well suited to candidates with a PhD in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, or physiology, and with strong experience in molecular biology , cell biology , data analysis , and biostatistics . The role also includes supervising students, contributing to experimental design and scientific writing, and participating in funding applications and project coordination. The environment offers access to biobanks, preclinical models, multi-omics platforms, imaging technologies, and a strong national/international transplantation research network.
