The PhD openings are in environmental health , data science , and knowledgebase development , with research spanning environmental health knowledgebases, environmental exposures and microbiome, and environmental risk assessment using machine learning. The lab is led by Yike Shen , Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at UTA. PhD applicants should have a BS in Science, Engineering, or Public Health, an undergraduate GPA above 3.3, and strong programming skills. International students should include TOEFL or IELTS scores in the CV. The lab expects PhD students to contribute to research and teaching, including teaching data science-related course labs, and to publish three first-author papers before graduation.
