MagIC – Information Management Research Center at NOVA IMS Information Management School is calling for 4 fully funded PhD Research Scholarships under its strategic multiannual programme supported by FCT.

This interdisciplinary doctoral opportunity is aimed at candidates interested in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Management, and related areas. The call is especially relevant for research at the intersection of Management and Data Science, where advanced analytical or computational methods are applied to real-world organisational and societal challenges.

Research themes include Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, Marketing Analytics, Finance and Risk Management, Public Policy, Deep Learning, Geoinformatics, Evolutionary Computation, and Synthetic Data Generation. Applications are particularly encouraged in thematic domains such as Health, Smart Cities, Sustainability, Tourism and Hospitality, and Education.

A key eligibility requirement is the formation of an interdisciplinary supervisory team for each PhD project, with at least one supervisor from the Management research stream and at least one from the Data Science research stream. The call is open to national and international candidates.
