The Pan African University (PAU), an initiative of the African Union Commission, is offering fully funded Master’s and PhD scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year. These scholarships are open to talented students from all African Union member states and the African diaspora, aiming to develop future leaders in science, technology, governance, and innovation. PAU is a continental university network with four specialized institutes: PAUSTI (Kenya) for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation; PAULESI (Nigeria) for Life and Earth Sciences; PAUGHSS (Cameroon) for Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences; and PAUWES (Algeria) for Water and Energy Sciences. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, monthly stipend, medical insurance, air travel, and research/conference support.

Applicants for Master’s must be under 25 (male) or 28 (female) and hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree. PhD applicants must be under 28 (male) or 30 (female) and hold a relevant Master’s degree. Required documents include academic transcripts, passport/ID, CV, recommendation letters, and a research concept note for PhD. The application period opens 15 November 2025 and closes 15 December 2025.
