Applications are open for the Africa Climate Collaborative Postgraduate Fellowships 2026 at the University of Ghana, supported by the Mastercard Foundation. This opportunity is aimed at emerging scholars working in climate resilience, sustainability, and related climate-policy and environmental research areas.

The fellowship is available for Master’s (MSc/MA/MPhil), PhD, and Postdoctoral researchers. It is designed for African graduate students and early-career scientists who want to engage in cutting-edge research, collaborate with international partners, and contribute to sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges across Africa, especially West Africa.

Funding is comprehensive and includes full tuition at the University of Ghana, accommodation support, a monthly stipend, research funding, academic resources, and structured mentorship from faculty and research leaders. Fellows also gain access to national and international research networks and collaborative opportunities.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old as of 1 August 2026, be from a West African country, and be applying for one of the listed postgraduate levels. The programme strongly encourages applications from women, persons with disabilities, refugees, and internally displaced persons.
