TUS Funded Research Scholarship

Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is advertising a funded PhD research opportunity linked to the EU AIDEA project (Artificial Intelligence for a New Design Education Approach). The project aims to modernise European design education by combining artificial intelligence, creative pedagogy, and environmental stewardship, with a strong emphasis on the future of design curricula and the European creative economy.

The advertised PhD topic is GENIE: Generative AI for Creative & Artistic Design and Sustainability. The successful scholar will work at the intersection of Computer Science, Information Technology, Art, Design, Education, and Environmental Science. The post is supervised by Dr John Cosgrove at TUS.

Funding: 48 months, with a stipend of €16,000 per annum, €1,500 per annum for consumables, and a fee waiver.

Eligibility highlights: candidates should have knowledge and expertise in Computer Science and Information Technology, with relevance to Design and Creativity, especially in the national and regional context.
