About this position
The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh offers three fully funded scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year, covering full tuition fees and any additional programme costs for eligible postgraduate programs in health, medicine, and related fields. Both online and on-campus study options are available, with a particular focus on applicants from Africa and Asian ODA-eligible countries. The scholarship aims to support students who have not previously studied at the Master's level and who intend to contribute to health systems in their home countries after graduation.
Eligible programs include a wide range of MSc and MPH degrees such as Critical Care, Clinical Education, Clinical Management of Pain, Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Clinical Trials, Data Science for Health and Social Care, Epidemiology, Global Health and Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Patient Safety and Clinical Human Factors, Primary Care Ophthalmology, Science Communication and Public Engagement, Surgical Sciences, Cancer Biology and Precision Oncology, Public Health, Family Medicine, Human Anatomy, Biomedical Sciences (Life Sciences), Integrative Neuroscience, Reproductive Sciences, and Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Repair.
Applicants must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree and must be domiciled in an eligible country as defined by the University. A strong personal statement is required, addressing motivation for the program, career and personal development goals, and the intended impact on their home country. Preference is given to those with an unconditional offer at the time of application and those who have not previously studied at the Master's level. The application deadline is May 28, 2026, and all applicants will be notified of the outcome by late June or early July 2026.
To apply, candidates must first apply for admission to an eligible program at the University of Edinburgh. Once applied, they can access the scholarship application via the MyEd portal (EUCLID). For further information or queries, applicants can contact [email protected] for scholarship questions or [email protected] for admissions-related queries.
