The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships (GOI-IES) 2026 call is now open, offering high-calibre international students the opportunity to pursue master's, postgraduate diploma, or PhD studies in Ireland. This prestigious scholarship is funded by the Government of Ireland in partnership with Irish higher education institutions and managed by the Higher Education Authority. Each year, 60 scholarships are awarded for one year of full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10, covering a wide range of academic disciplines.

Selected scholars will receive a €10,000 stipend for one academic year and a full tuition fee waiver at a recognized Irish higher education institution. This program provides not only financial support but also the chance to gain global exposure, live and study in Ireland, and become part of a vibrant international academic community.

Eligibility is open to international students domiciled outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Applicants must first secure a conditional or final offer of admission to an eligible master's, postgraduate diploma, or PhD program at an Irish institution. The application process requires submission of two references, proof of admission, and evidence of outstanding academic achievement, communication skills, extracurricular involvement, and a clear rationale for studying in Ireland. Previous recipients and Russian or Belarusian nationals are not eligible.

The application deadline is 5pm (Irish time) on 12 March 2026.
