The Women's Refugee Commission (WRC) is offering the Humanitarian Futures: Gender, Displacement, and Justice Fellowship, an 8-month remote research opportunity for women researchers. This fellowship is designed for those working at the intersection of gender, displacement, and humanitarian systems, with a strong emphasis on participatory, feminist research approaches. The program centers the knowledge and leadership of displaced women and encourages applicants with lived experience of displacement, forced migration, or statelessness.

Fellows will receive financial support, mentorship from WRC staff, and participate in peer learning within a small research cohort. The fellowship provides opportunities to publish research findings and present them through WRC platforms. Research themes may include protection, gender-based violence, reproductive health, bodily autonomy, gender-inclusive self-reliance, and systems-level justice. Applications focusing on contexts such as Sudan, Syria, Afghanistan/Pakistan, the DRC, Palestine, Central America, and Rohingya communities are especially encouraged.

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to community-centered research and feminist methodologies.
