NUS Young Fellowship Programme 2026: AI and Graduate Research for Senior Undergraduates National University of Singapore in Singapore

The 2026 NUS Young Fellowship Programme, hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) College of Design and Engineering, is now open for applications. This prestigious month-long programme is designed for talented senior undergraduate students (Year 3 and above) from around the world who are eager to experience world-class research and graduate-level academic exposure in Singapore. The 2026 theme is 'AI and Graduate Research', offering participants the chance to engage with leading NUS faculty, visit cutting-edge research labs, and connect with a diverse cohort of peers.

The programme features a week of in-person lectures and workshops in Singapore, followed by three weeks of online tutorials and hands-on project presentations. Participants will benefit from complimentary on-campus accommodation and a SGD 500 travel allowance upon successful completion of the programme. Please note that airfare and daily meals are not included, and participants are responsible for their own lunch and dinner expenses during the on-site week.

Eligibility criteria include being a senior undergraduate (Year 3 or above) with an outstanding academic record, a diverse background, and notable achievements beyond academics. Applicants are required to submit a detailed CV, a personal statement or reflective essay (up to 1,000 words) on a research area of interest or a significant social issue, and optionally an academic transcript and two letters of recommendation from faculty members. A passport-size photo is also required.

The application process is conducted via the NUS Graduate Admission System (GDA3). Applicants should select 'Non-Degree Programme' for the June 2026 Special Term and upload all required documents. The application is free of charge. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2026, with results announced in April 2026.
