Ph.D. Fellowship

CIHOL (Centre for International Humanitarian and Operational Law) at the Faculty of Law, Palacký University, is offering a Ph.D. Fellowship for a full-time doctoral position.

The fellowship is aimed at talented candidates interested in research in international humanitarian law, operational law, international peace and security, the use of force in international law, collective security, weapons and new technologies, and related issues such as cyber and hybrid threats.

Successful fellows will work with the Centre’s director and team members, contribute to research project applications and external funding schemes, help organize events such as summer schools, conferences, workshops, and the Centre’s flagship live simulation military exercise “Camp Peira,” and present ongoing research at international conferences.

Benefits include a monthly scholarship of up to CZK 26,880 (approx. EUR 1,100) plus additional scholarship and funding opportunities, along with research support, networking opportunities, and involvement in ongoing projects.

The expected start date is September 2026, and the application deadline is 15 June 2026.
