What's required
Applicants must qualify for Home fees and be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic group as specified. Both new PhD students starting in Autumn 2025 and current Birkbeck PhD students with at least 50% research remaining are eligible. Candidates should have a strong academic background or demonstrate exceptional research potential through professional, community, or practice-based experience. A completed PhD programme application (including a research proposal) and a Diversity100 application form are required. Additional requirements may apply depending on the chosen PhD programme; refer to the relevant prospectus for details.
