What's required
Applicants must have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in psychology, sociology, information science, criminology, or media and communication studies. A bachelor’s degree of at least four years with a research thesis/project and a first-class honours equivalent, or a master’s degree with a research thesis/project equivalent to at least 25% of one year of full-time study and a first-class honours equivalent, or a combination of qualifications and relevant professional experience deemed equivalent. Training in quantitative methods (e.g., regressions, parametric/non-parametric tests, Structural Equation Modeling) and/or qualitative methods (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Thematic Analysis, Content Analysis) is required. Prior experience in cyber scam research is not required, but strong theoretical and methodological skills are expected. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of relevant literature and the ability to develop a solid research proposal.
