About this position
CQUniversity, in partnership with CSIRO and Future Energy Exports CRC, is offering a fully funded Industry PhD (iPhD) Scholarship focused on advanced magnetic refrigeration and energy-efficient hydrogen liquefaction. This four-year program is designed to prepare future innovation leaders to work at the interface of research and industry, combining applied research, industry engagement, and professional development.
The scholarship provides a generous tax-exempt stipend of approximately AU$48,000 per annum (indexed yearly), along with a project expense and development package starting from AU$13,000 per annum. The program includes joint supervision by CQUniversity, CSIRO, and industry partners, as well as access to state-of-the-art hydrogen research facilities. A 60-day industry engagement component and structured professional development are also integral parts of the program.
Applicants should have a strong background in engineering, particularly in chemical or mechanical engineering, and a keen interest in hydrogen innovation, energy systems, or magnetic refrigeration.
