The Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Cape Town's School of Public Health is offering a series of new PhD scholarships for motivated candidates interested in advancing their research careers. The program focuses on a range of epidemiology and biostatistics topics, including paediatric and perinatal epidemiology, infectious diseases, nutritional epidemiology, non-communicable diseases, psychiatric epidemiology, and clinical epidemiology. Successful applicants will join a dynamic team dedicated to addressing critical public health challenges through advanced research and statistical methods. The scholarships are fully funded for three years, covering living expenses and university fees up to R380,000 annually (tax-free), renewable based on performance. Applicants must have or be completing a Masters in Epidemiology or Biostatistics, demonstrate strong academic and research skills, fluency in R, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
